Marathon City Exterior Cleaning in One Visit
Marathon City is a Marathon County village about 27 miles northeast of our Marshfield shop and about 10 miles west of Wausau. The village dates to 1856 and takes its name from the Battle of Marathon.
A village of homeowners
Marathon City has the highest share of homeowners of any town we serve: about four in five homes are lived in by their owners, and about the same share are single-family houses. Half were built before about 1974.
When the whole house is yours, it usually makes sense to have the whole exterior done together.
What full exterior cleaning covers
Our exterior cleaning service brings everything outside the house into one job:
- House washing, siding to windows, with the method chosen to suit your home's materials.
- Soft washing for roofing and siding.
- Roof washing to remove moss, algae and lichens.
- Pressure washing for driveways, sidewalks and patios.
- Gutter cleaning, clearing debris, leaves and blockages from gutters and downspouts.
- Window cleaning that removes dirt, smudges and water spots.
- Deck and fence cleaning for mildew, stains and weather-induced discoloration.
It works as a one-time deep clean or as regular maintenance. You can also book any one of these on its own. Starting prices are listed under Services in Marathon City.
Christmas lights, too
We also hang Christmas lights in Marathon City. We own the lights, we hang them, we take them down and we store them until next year. The Christmas light page has the full details, including what the seasonal price covers.
Marathon City weather
Rain and melted snow add up to about 34 inches a year at the weather station about 3 miles from the village, with about 70 days bringing a tenth of an inch or more, and Wausau, about 10 miles east, averages about 64 inches of snow. That steady moisture is a good reason not to let algae get a long head start on the north side of a roof or a deck.
