Waupaca and Chain O’ Lakes Exterior Cleaning

Waupaca is the seat of Waupaca County and the farthest east of the towns we serve, about 59 miles from our Marshfield shop. Its name comes from a Menominee word meaning "place of tomorrow seen clearly". The first settlers from the East arrived in 1849.

The Chain O’ Lakes

The Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes is a string of 22 interconnected spring-fed lakes. Long before the settlers, the Menominee in the Waupaca area moved between large villages on Taylor and Otter Lakes.

Lake property comes with its own exterior jobs. The view is the reason you are there, so the windows matter. Our window cleaning uses a purified water-fed pole system or hand cleaning, removes dirt and water spots without streaks, and can include screens, tracks and hard water stain removal. Decks, wood or composite, get a gentle soft wash that removes mildew and algae without damaging the boards, with a sealant on request.

The mildest winters on our list

Waupaca's weather station records the warmest winter average on our list, though Wisconsin Rapids is close behind. It sees about 162 nights below freezing and about 23 nights below zero a year. Compare Minocqua, at the other end of our map, with about 44 nights below zero. Waupaca still averages about 49 inches of snow.

Milder is not mild, and concrete here still freezes and thaws. Heavy de-icing salt can make the top layer of a driveway flake away, which is called scaling. Our power washing clears driveways, patios and sidewalks so you can see what condition they are in.

Waupaca homes

The city has grown through annexation since the 1960s. Half its homes were built before about 1976, with about a quarter built in 2000 or later and about a fifth in 1939 or earlier.

Old or new, the siding gets a gentle, low-pressure wash, and gutters get a full flush. Commercial buildings are quoted per building.
